A study permit is necessary for Canada under most scenarios if you are wishing to come to Canada as a student to study English, secondary school, college and/or university in Canada. Some students may be eligible to work while they study, work after they graduate as an international student and help their spouse or common-law partner work while they are studying. This includes initial study permit applications and study permit extensions.
A super visa lets you visit your children or grandchildren for up to 2 years at a time. It’s a multi-entry visa that provides multiple entries for a period up to 10 years..

Individuals in Canada as a visitor who wish to extend their stay must apply for a visitor record before their initial status in Canada expires.

Upon entry to Canada, visitors are granted status for a specified period. This may be up to 6 months. If you wish to stay in Canada as a visitor, you must apply to extend your stay.
